Six timestamped gameplay scenes explained

The time ranges refer to this exact press-hosted clip. They should not be applied to the developer’s separate Hydro Battles video.

00:00–00:05

Movement leaves a visible trace

The opening grass exchange is followed by a dirt-arena sequence. Pikachu changes position while a larger opponent and a raised trail of dirt occupy the field. Follow the fighter separately from the ground effect.

What this does not establish: The sequence shows changing positions; it does not establish movement keys, collision rules or which inputs were used.

00:06–00:08

Fire effects occupy the stone arena

Charizard and Pikachu share the stone field while a large spiral of fire fills one side. A narrow fiery effect appears between the fighters. The contrast makes the direction and scale of an attack easy to follow.

What this does not establish: A large effect is not a measured hitbox or a damage value. Its final move name and behaviour need release documentation.

00:12–00:14

Lapras extends an ice path over water

Lapras sits on a bright strip of ice with Squirtle below. Across these seconds, the ice extends to the left and a blue-white beam projects forward. Compare the changing path edge with the surrounding water.

What this does not establish: This establishes an animated surface change in the clip, not a confirmed rule about speed, type advantages or permanent terrain.

00:15–00:19

Multiple silhouettes, then broken cover

Several green Scyther silhouettes surround a yellow opponent on the stone field. Later in the sequence, a nearby wooden crate breaks into visible pieces. Watch the real-looking fighter and the translucent silhouettes separately.

What this does not establish: The duplicate effect does not establish multiple human players. The crate event alone cannot provide durability or damage formulas.

00:20–00:25

Beams and several fighters share the field

A blue stream crosses the stone arena in a Blastoise and Charizard exchange. The next view includes Mewtwo and other Pokémon distributed around the field, with several coloured attack effects moving through the space.

What this does not establish: Several visible fighters do not prove online multiplayer, a maximum player count or a final team size.

00:26–00:35

The visual language changes again

The final section switches from stone to a rocky space with floating debris, then to a dark purple grid. A central purple figure connects visually to fighters positioned around it. The shift gives a useful sense of the range of preview effects.

What this does not establish: The scene does not settle the game’s story, unlock system or whether these visuals belong to a particular delivered mode.

Battle trailer source and review method

We inspected this 36.74-second source clip at one-second intervals and examined the published preview stills separately. The notes above concern visible motion, objects and effects; they do not verify the footage’s production process or simulate playing the game.

The media source is the file embedded in Retro Dodo’s report, which credits Big Kid Nation. We stream that file from its original host rather than distribute a copied game or installer. The report’s title uses “ROM hack”; that wording is not treated as technical confirmation.
